Another photo of that letter project I’m working on. My friends and I aged the letters on Friday using teabags and coffee grinds and now that they’re dry, we’ll burn the edges a bit and prepare them for shipping.

I don’t think I’ve really given an explanation of what we’re doing exactly, but we were asked by an author to create promotional pieces for her up-and-coming novel. So, after reading the book, we drafted up three letters that connect the characters in some way and make the reader want to know more about their relationships and why they’re currently in an insane asylum. Once packaged, we’ll send three letters each to 50 bookstores around the country to convince the bookstore owners to order more of the author’s book. Hopefully all will go as planned and our campaign will do the trick!
