wk12:
Yesterday we took a field trip to see Pie’s first official graduation/demo day. If you don’t know, Pie is the “Portland Incubator Experiment,” which consists of eight tech startups in search of investment and development. Each of the budding companies receives 18,000 bucks and a mentor to help navigate the daunting launch process.
Among yesterday’s entrepreneurs, we saw a dog-sitting social network, a cashless vending machine interface, and a cloud services integrator. All of these companies took a big step toward fulfilling their vision, and inspired us to keep striving for visibility and viability. Where there’s a will, Pie can pave the way.
Pie lives in the SE corner of the W+K building, and is currently looking for its new class in February.
What could have been.
